Mack Avenue Corridor Development Plan

Client: MACC Development   Location: Detroit, MI

City Form Detroit is working with MACC Development to create a comprehensive development plan for the Mack Avenue corridor between East Grand Boulevard and Fischer Street. The project poses, "How can Mack Avenue be a model for a new kind of corridor building on innovative productive uses and local businesses?" The project scope includes a community engagement process, a complete neighborhoods analysis, a programming and development plan, and an implementation strategy for the corridor. The plan is being developed in collaboration with residents, business owners, property owners, and church and community leaders. Stakeholder input includes concepts for "family-freindly" activities, a neighborhood node, alternative land use and placemaking strategies for vacant lots, and non-motorized transportation for the corridor. The project is scheduled for completion in February 2016.
